Why do I find spending money on myself so hard.  It's not something I regularly do but when I do, I feel terribly guilty.  I'm not well lol  I buy Clinique skin care.  Love it.  Introduced to me by my dear Wenchy.  Every now and again it's Bonus time.  Which basically means you get a load of free stuff when you purchase two items.  Love it.  Love gifts!  (I can be all girl some times)   Today I went to spend well-earned money on bonus time Clinique.  I don't know if it truly makes a difference but it sure makes me feel all gorgeous.  So I'll buy it just for that  Wink  I will also be getting a facial and make-up session in August.  Haven't had one since my wedding!

I never used to use skin care products.  Up till about 2 years ago, when Tommie came home and told me about the wife of one of his friends.  He couldn't get over how old she looked.  All wrinkled up.  No my husband never notices stuff like that.  I decided there and then that I needed to take care of my skin.  Couldn't want my hubby thinking I look old!  Hopefully I have inherited my moms skin genes.  Even at 56 she looks awesome.

We had someone come give us a quote on an alarm system tonight.  They will install it either Thursday or Friday.  I can't wait.  It can't happen soon enough.  They say the kids won't trip the alarm when they walk to our room at night.  Well, that remains to be seen!  Sure as heck will be a wake-up call if they do.  Nah..I'll just test it before the time. I want to know exactly where it picks up and where not.  Don't want there to be any gaps for any kind criminal to enter my home.

Amy uses Clinique too.

I thought of you when I read the recent articles about crime in South Africa that followed stories on your Safety and Security Minister Charles Nqakula's odd quote about crime and whingers. That got a lot of press. I think the security system sounds like a wonderful idea. Our friends across town got one after someone broke into their house. It turned out to just be kids and not "real" robbers, but it still gives them a lot of peace of mind to have the alarm system.

I think taking care of your skin is one of the best things you can do for yourself! Good to hear!

We have an alarm system and I've never regretted getting it. I love having it, it brings such a peace of mind.

Sometimes I feel guilty for spending money on myself too. It could be b/c I don't work. I'm very into Skin care and believe that's it's NEVER to early to start taking care of our skin:) So happy your getting that alarm system. I'm sure it will give you peace of mind knowing your family is protected.

I hear you! I felt SO guilty going to the hair dresser this morning. I only cut my hair like every 6 months because it's SO expensive! My mom usually gives me Clinique moisturizer for Christmas every year and i MAKE it LAST! It's so expensive, but SO WORTH IT!

Spending a little money on yourself is good for the soul. And you and Tommy will thank you in 20 years when your skin is still gorgeous. The women in my family have amazing skin, but I've been using a skin care line since I was about 20 - never too early to get a jump on it!

I also have had to learn to spend money on myself. My home alarm system gives me great peace of mind. The just set up the HOME and OUT setting differently - HOME will bypass the bedrooms, passage, toilet etc, what ever you need 'open' at night.

My parents had an alarm system instaled after someone broke into their house, it was a huge relief. I want one in my house, too, but I haven't gotten there yet. Hopefully it doesn't get set off when you are moving around in the house, I know that some alarms have a bypass that can be set to windows and doors alone, not motion in the house.
